Mears Out for Season (Wanderers big money buy out with broken leg)

04Aug11

Now this could just be a rumour but there are whispers on Bolton Wanderers forums that zat Knight has broken the leg of full back Tyrone Mears in training today.

All Bolton Highlights for 2011/12 season Here! (plus reports and special offers in Bolton)

If true, that is yet another Wanderer out for a lengthy period of time, perhaps the season. Mears will join Chung Yong on the newly broken legs list while Sean Davis and Stuart Holden remain out of action with their own log term injuries. Mark Davies, Ricardo Gardner and Ivan Klasnic are always struggling to stay fit too. And, I don’t know this for certain, but I think Tom Eaves has also recently joined the injury list.

Bolton’s problems are mounting up with 3 first team players already out of action; Mears, Lee and Holden. And unless Coyle can bring in some new faces quickly the Bolton squad will be pretty thin on the ground after quite an exodus of players from the Reebok this summer. Players out include Matt Taylor, Johan Elmander, Rodrigo, Sturridge, Ward, Samuel, Cohen and others. There also remains the distinct possibility that Gary Cahill could be on his way out of the club too.

Please wait for confirmation on the Mears situation as it may yet turn out to be a fib.
