Owen Coyle is raiding his former club, Burnley, as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the up coming campaign.

Tomorrows Daily Mail says that Burnley have accepted a joint 3 million pound bid for Chris Eagles and Tyrone Mears. The pair would be reunited  with Coyle after he switched to Bolton from Burnley last year.

Despite the growing concern of some fans, that things are not moving quickly enough during the transfer window, Bolton continue to be linked with good quality players. The pair from Burnley are no exception and are generally highly rated by all.

If this deal goes through it would definitely add strength and depth to the Bolton squad and both players would be decent additions.

If Coyle also manages to secure Reo Coker, who is available on a free, Bolton would be looking quite strong going into August.

The only concern remaining would be our relatively light attacking options. This could be resolved by another season long loan of Sturridge or Welbeck. Bolton may yet pull off the coup of the summer if they secure Suarez’s signature after Barcelona confirmed they have received an offer.

Eagles will not be a good signing. Was way short in the Premier League with us at Burnley and even in the Championship is incredibly inconsistent.

Mears, decent right back going forward. Already played had two seasons in Prem, both ending in relegation.

Since when does anyone believe a story in the Daily Mail? Word from the Clarets is that its utter rubbish!
