Second Half

Subs on: Bogdan, Petrov, Gardner, Alonso,  Muamba, Wheater, Blake

Good move from Gardner who spread the play to Lee, chipped into the box for Davies who heads to Petrov. Petrov shoots against the post on the volley, tha ball rebounds to Kevin Davies who hits the ball against a defender. Nice play though.

Gardner plays a good one two with Petrov. Petrov breaks down the wing well, beats his man and crosses deep to Lee. Lee looks for Davies but the move comes to nothing.

Petrov cuts inside from the right, unleashes a swerving shot from 20 yards but it goes wide of the top corner.

Petrov breaks into the box and whips a left foot shot low across the face of goal but it goes wide.

A good period of play from Bolton. Petrov, Gardner and Lee all involved aswell as Blake. A couple of decent moves and crosses into the box but nothing comes of it in the end.

Lee is played in by Muamba, he finds Blake. Blake advances toward the edge of the box. He finds Petrov on the left, Petrov beats his man, plays it back to Blake who shoots from 18 yards. Saved and pushed wide. Gardner keeps it in, gives it to Petrov, finds Lee, Lee heads wide from 6 yards.

Petrov breaks into the box, a real chance for Bolton, gets to the byline, clips it toward Lee, HEADS IT AT GOAL – SAVED, and pushed away. Bolton’s best chance of the game. Lee denied by a great save.

Tampa break into the Bolton half down the right. The ball is pulled back toward the edge of the box, Clare shoots, and it’s in! Bogdan is beaten and Tampa take the lead!

Blake showing some useful touches for Bolton in midfield.

Petrov does well on the left. Crossed pin pint to Lee, headed back across to Kevin Davies who heads on goal. Saved by the keeper though.

Alonso and Petrov linking well down the left in general. Muamba not really involved. Blake doing more in midfield for Bolton but I think he is meant to be up front.

Free kick from deep, crossed by Petrov. Headed at goal by ?, hits the bar and goes over!

Tampa break down the middle but a good chance comes to nothing. Bolton counter attack with long ball from Bogdan. Blake heads it to Lee. Lee plays it into space for Blake on the right, comes to the edge of the box, stands it up to the back post to Davies 6 yards out. Headed Over. Wouldn’t have counted anyway as whistle goes for foul against Davies for a push.

Conelly and Eaves both on. And Obedeyi.

Conelly shoots from 35 yards, deflected wide. Petrov still looking dangerous but Tampa Bay still in front 1-0 from Matt Clare goal.

90th minute, Tampa Bay break forward looking to increase their lead, a shot comes in but Bogdan tips it wide of the post!

The final whistle goes, Tampa bay 1 Bolton 0.

A more promising second half for Bolton but a lot of changes made. At least ten subs in the final 45 minutes for Bolton. Bolton hit the bar and post and went close on a couple of other occasions. Petrov stood out as dangerous for most of the second half and was at the hear of many of Bolton’s best moves. Ricardo Gardner did well too and pulled a lot of strings from the central position he was once again employed in.

Chung Yong Lee continued to look lively and had a couple of good chances on goal. The second half overall was much more lively and it was good to see Blake looking confident and competent. Bolton still look light upfront and need to go into the season with more than K Davies and Klasnic, especially after losing Elmander, Ward, Sturridge and Rodrigo.

Looking forward to the next match up, Just a shame there are no new faces to check out!
