Reebok Power Cut – Bolton match in jeopardy

29Jan11

Bolton Wanderers’ home FA Cup tie with Wigan could be in jeopardy for this afternoon.

Much of the Middlebrook area around the Reebok stadium has suffered a power outage which if not solved in time would mean the match would be postponed.

Currently the game is still scheduled to go ahead and postponement is unlikely. I thought I should just put the info out there so you can keep an eye on the situation before you set off to the game.

A power cut at kick off time would mean the ticket office could not function, computers would not work, ticket scanners, camera equipment, broadcast equipment, floodlights, advertising hoardings, the big screen, and all other screens, announcements, other stadium lighting, car park lighting and possibly even traffic lights would not work. It would be chaos. Any way, it’s never going to happen, “they” will fix it.

  1. HI GUYS JUST TO LET YOU KNOW THAT THE MATCH WENT AHEAD YESTERDAY AND ALWAYS WILL DO IN THIS SITUATION BECAUSE THE WANDERERS HAD THE FORESIGHT TO BUILD THEIR STADIUM WITH THEIR OWN GENERATOR, JUST IN CASE OF SITUATIONS LIKE THIS! PS THEY ALSO CONSTANTLY SELL THEIR OWN ELECTRICITY ONTO THE NATIONAL GRID DAILY, SO MAKING MONEY TOO! CLEVER INNIT, SIMPLES!
