David Wheater Makes Trotters Move. Deal Done.

Wheater looks like Blakey from on the buses!

Wheater will link up with the trotters to put pen to paper on a permanent move in the next couple of days but, apart from the signature, the deal is complete.

The 23-year-old defender, who looks more like he should be ‘On the buses’ than on a football field will now be hoping to break into the England squad according to reports. Wheater has played in the Premiership before with Middlesbrough and is desperate to play at the top-level again after they were relegated.

Wanderers will pay around 2 million pounds for the former England U21 International but could pay a further million based on appearances for Bolton. Wheater will join Zat Knight and Gary Cahill as Bolton’s main rear guard in the centre. The Wanderers beat off competition from Newcastle, Stoke and Everton to sign the player who would have been available on a free in the summer.

David Wheater has agreed a deal with Bolton according to Sky Sports this evening.  The move had been in doubt but has finally been sealed.
