Wanderers Sign Former Real Madrid Striker (whispers)

It is thought that Bolton Wanderers have this morning completed a season long loan signing of Benfica’s Rodrigo Moreno.

Moreno will have undergone a medical at the Reebok and could be available for selection in time for Bolton’s next fixture. The highly rated young striker had been watched closely by Owen Coyle for several months before leaving Real Madrid for Benfica in a deal worth around 5 or 6 million pounds.

Both Benfica and Real Madrid will be keeping an eye on the player as he looks to push into Bolton’s first team. Real Madrid, despite letting Moreno leave are still keen on the striker and have inserted a buy back clause into his contract.

My source says that if the deal hasn’t already been signed off then it will be done for sure within a matter of hours.
