Bolton Wanderers V Fulham (Team announced)

14Aug10

Bolton Wanderers take on Fulham at the Reebok today in their opening game of the season. Coyle takes charge of his Wanderers side for his first full season while his opposite number, Mark Hughes, takes charge of his first competitive game for the cottagers.

Bolton Wanderers line up as predicted with Holden and Petrov squeezing into the side and Zat Knight recovering from a knock.

Jaaskelainen
Steinsson   Knight Cahill  Robinson
Chung-Yong  Muamba  Holden  Petrov
K. Davies Elmander

Subs: Bogdan, Ricketts, O’Brien, Taylor, M. Davies, Blake, Klasnic.

It is expected to be a tight game with most recent encounters resulting in draws. Bolton though will be hoping for a victory to kick off the season with Owen Coyle hoping to turn the Reebok into a fortress. My original prediction for the game was a 1-1 draw but my optimism and excitement are taking over my head and my tip for this game is a Bolton win in front of an expectant home crowd. It won’t be easy though and I doubt a clean sheet is on the cards. A bit of Petrov magic and a new look Elmander (fingers crossed) and Bolton could run out winners at 3-1.
