Wilshere and Cleverley Move To Bolton Not Dead Yet…

Despite the daily mail claiming that the transfer of Tom Cleverley to Wigan was a done deal it seems there could still be a twist in the tale. The same goes for Arsenal youngster Jack Wilshere who, despite recent reports, could yet be reunited with the Trotters again this season.

It seems nothing has been confirmed officially by Wigan or Manchester United regarding a deal for Tom Cleverly and Bolton boss Owen Coyle was today quoted as saying he hopes Jack Wilshere’s Reebok success would give the Wanderers an advantage when trying to loan young players like Cleverley from Manchester United.

Coyle also didn’t rule out the possibility of yet bringing Wilshere to the Reebok. Coyle has decided to leave the offer on the table should Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger change his mind about the move, he said, “I’ve always left the door open with Arsenal and Arsene, saying that if he felt after the season starts that Jack is not going to start games, then we would welcome him with open arms for six months and hopefully give him back in January a far better player than what we got – because we already did that.”

Despite the hoping, though, it could be that Coyle will have to continue to look elsewhere if he is to improve his squad further by the start of the Premier League season in 8 days time. The manager did admit that, while keeping the Wilshere offer open, it was unlikely to come off saying, “I have to say it looks like Arsenal are going to keep a hold of him…”

Never thought I would say this, as an Arsenal Supporter (giving the previous between our two Clubs) but I must thank Owen Coyle for sending Jack back considerably improved physically and apparently devoid of the petulance he was starting to show before going on loan. Not quite so sure he will go back out on loan, Wenger seems to have first team plans for Wilshire, but we to go on loan anywhere, surely it would be Bolton. Good luck for the season, except when you Arsenal, of course.
