Manchester United Starlet Makes Loan Switch With Bolton Missing Out

Bolton and Newcastle are to miss out on another young midfield talent, this time in the form of Manchester United’s young star Tom Cleverley. Instead the midfield man will be on a season loan with local rivals Wigan Athletic after United boss Alex Ferguson said Wigan had won the race to sign him. The trotters also recently received confirmation that Jack Wilshere would be remaining with Arsenal rather than returning to the Reebok for another loan spell.

Owen Coyle had targeted Cleverley as cover for Lee Chung Yong on the right of midfield but Cleverley can also play centrally. At 21 years old Cleverley is tipped to be a star of the future for Manchester United and would have been Owen Coyle’s fifth transfer of the summer. As it is Coyle will again have to look elsewhere as he looks to bolster his squad further ahead of the approaching Premier League campaign.

With Coyle missing out on Jack Wilshere, Rodrigo Moreno and now Tom Cleverley all in the last week, the Bolton gaffer may not have the squad he was hoping for come the start of the season. Bolton could yet add to their strike force with Tom Eaves from Oldham Athletic though and there are whispers that Danny Wellbeck from Manchester United will be sent out on loan within the next week. One more option Owen Coyle may consider is Vladimir Weiss from Manchester City who spent the second half of last season with Bolton and impressed in the last three games. So far there has been no news regarding the possibility of resigning Weiss.

it is good that cleverley should hav e spend this season at man u and develop within the united environment other than going out again. i hope he ends up in the united squad with all these loan moves placed on him, i think he is a milner type of player, such that wastin his talents with loan will be a damage to a future great united mildfielder maestro. i cannot figured it out any english mildfielder at 21 closer to tom cleverley’s playin style. he needs the united way other than the loan moves now and again. he really excelled at watford and it only remained that he should have been given the united guidance. a fantastic player to loose.
