Bolton Approach For Coyle (it’s a fantastic job – Coyle)

03Jan10

Looks as though I was right, see my article published earlier this evening (over 2 hours before skysports). My Article

According to Sky Sports News and Clubcall Bolton Wanderers have today made an official approach to Burnley in what appears to be the first step in bringing the Scot to the Reebok to succeed Gary Megson as First Team Manager.

Bolton will be hoping to tie up the deal within the next 48 hours but will likely have to pay up to 4 million pounds in compensation to Burnley.  Coyle was originally recommended to Burnley by the Bolton chairman who has long admired his managerial talent and it now appears he is ready to bring Coyle ‘home’.

Within the last couple of days speculation over Coyle’s future has been rife but originally many reports suggested that Coyle had no interest in becoming Bolton boss.  In actual fact the Burnley manager simply insisted his focus was on the up coming game and failed to categorically rule himself out of the running, he added, “it would be a fantastic job…”

My article from 4 days ago claimed that Coyle was interested in the post, see here.
