Elmander on January Exit, Bolton Wanderers

Misfiring Bolton striker Johan Elmander may have one eye on a January move should the right kind of offer come in.
Bolton’s record signing admits that being out of the starting line up is difficult and that it could become frustrating. He also has his sights set on impressing on the International stage in “important friendlies” early next year.

The striker said, “Even if Zlatan (Ibrahimovic) comes back, I want to have shown what I can do. There are some important friendlies this spring.”

Although he did not comment about the prospect of joining a new club in January he did admit that he needs a chance to shine adding “I want to take the chance and show what I am good for.”

Elmander, 28, insists he can understand manager Gary Megson’s decision to play Klasnic with the Coatian having netted 4 times in 4 games but is hoping still to feature.  He said, “I wish that I could start so that I could help the team.”
