Wigan V Bolton Wanderers: There’ snow game!

21Dec09

Tonight’s clash between Wigan and Bolton Wanderers has been called off as a result of recent arctic conditions in the North West.
Although there has been no snowfall today and the pitch is playable there are health and safety concerns for fans attending the game.  Snow fall from over the weekend has started to freeze on the ground with temperatures struggling to stay above zero degrees.  It means roads and pathways around the stadium will be unsafe for supporters to use especially as the temperature starts to drop later in the evening. The match will be rescheduled to be played at a later date.

This means Bolton miss their chance to climb the table and remain in 18th position going into the next set of fixtures. However Bolton are now 2 games in hand on most of their near rivals and will look to boost their league position when they face Burnley on Boxing Day.
