Bolton V Liverpool (preview)

Wanderers fans will no doubt be hoping Jloyd Samuel returns to the starting line up when Bolton take on Liverpool on Saturday at the Reebok.  Andy O’Brien could make a shock return in the cetre of defence though ahead of new boy Zat Knight, however, it is mainly speculation.  Bolton, still without a premiership goal, could turn to Ricardo Vaz Te who this week rejected a move abroad.  He is likely to take his place on the subs bench after returning from injury this week.  Ricardo Gardner is still out of action and Matt Taylor is again favourite to start on the left of midfield.  Kevin Davies and Johan Elmander are set to start up front.  MidfieldersSean Davis, Mark Davies and Fabrice Muamba could all start unless South Korean Lee Chong-yung can push his way in.

It will be a tough match for the trotters who lost both home and away to Liverpool last season.  Liverpool scored 5 times while Bolton failed to hit the back of the net.  The midweek Cup games saw Bolton get off the mark for the season with Mark Davies scoring his first for the club.  Johan Elmander could also feel confident after only narrowly being denied by the Tranmere keeper on more than one occasion.  Liverpool have had just one win from their opening three games but will be looking to climb back into contention by taking all three points at the Reebok.
